Swallow Lifts specializes in bespoke, hydraulic and platform lifts

With a wealth of experience now spanning over 60 years, Swallow Lifts has established a reputation for quality and workmanship that has been lost by so many of the traditional lift companies.

Francis Joseph Pons originally founded our company in 1936. His building company in Gibraltar was experiencing problems in sourcing suitable lift products for its various developments. Using local skills and suppliers the first lift products were designed and installed.

Over time the expertise grew and the product range increased. The main strength of the company was to custom make lifts to suit the high demands of its clients in the luxury property market. In effect a tailor-made or bespoke lift product specialist‚ a tradition that has continued to the present day.

As time passed, the younger members of the family moved to England and, in 1992, formed a British-based specialist lift company using the support of the network established over previous generations.

The company has adapted over the years to incorporate modern systems whilst still retaining the personal touch. Proven successes have confirmed that our methods are correct and attention to customer requirements has brought more success and increased the volume of orders and enquiries for new works.

To compliment the bespoke, hydraulic and platform lifts we also have available a comprehensive range of standard passenger and goods lifts as well as a complete range of products to give access for the disabled.

We maintain the highest quality standards to ISO9001/2000 and are the first lift company to be certified to OHSAS 180001 as our commitment to safety.

A policy of restricting the number of installations undertaken has been adopted and at present we will only install up to a maximum of 100 units per annum. This ensures that we do not overstretch our labour and design resources.
